Fred Eggers wrote a wonderful post that we had hoped to publish today, but due to the magic of computer communication, an e-mail got lost somewhere between him and me. And as it turns out, we are both out of town, so I have not been able to reach him to resolve the problem. So I had the decision to make today whether to publish his story without half of the photos he wanted to include, or wait to post it when I have them all. I have chosen the latter. It is a terrific post which has plenty to do with the Fourth of July, and it saddens me to not post it today, but it is what it is.
In its place, I am going to leave you with a link to a speech made President Calvin Coolidge on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence in 1926. I found it to be very inspirational. Just click on the link below.
I will publish Fred’s article as soon as I can. I promise you will enjoy it.
