On January 30, 2016, our museum, after starting up a new website using the WordPress platform, published its first blog post. We are reposting that very first post today as we begin the 10th year of our website and blog. That first post consisted of two whole paragraphs, so it will not take you long to read it.

As of today, we now have had over 1.1 million views on our website, and we have published 2963 posts. We also have 677 e-mail subscribers to this website. We have established quite a following of faithful readers who are great supporters of the mission of the Perry County Lutheran Historical Society. We are so thankful for our followers, and we would love for you to encourage others to follow our website as we continue our mission of preserving the German Lutheran history of Perry County, Missouri.

For quite a while now, our museum director, Denise Hellwege, has been writing and publishing our blog posts on Fridays. Today, she is spending time at a hospital with her mother. We humbly ask you to keep her and her family in your prayers.
