In our German Family Tree, I can only find one person with the surname, Reinemer, who was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church in Friedheim. That person is today’s birthday boy, Johann Carl Reinemer. Carl, or Charles as he was mostly called, was born on September 13, 1866, so he would be celebrating his 160th birthday … More From Friedheim and Farrar to Flagler to Forest Grove
Today’s birthday boy began his life in Perry County, Missouri, but was never found in a Perry County census entry. He first migrated east to the state of Illinois where he spent many of his early years, before then migrating to the West Coast to spend most of his life in Oregon. It also looks … More Theodore Schade – Portland Telegrapher
I am sharing another old story today. On other occasions when I have republished an old story, I add some more documents that I located. That will not be the case today. I think I pretty much exhausted all the documents for the story of Paul Eggers when I first wrote this post on this … More Missouri Man Marries Nebraska Woman in Oregon
Today, I will tell the tale of Herman Heeszel (pronounced Hazel), whose life began in Jacob, Illinois but he did not live there for long. Today’s birthday girl begins her life in Jacob, Illinois, but her parents moved their family all the way to Oregon shortly after she was confirmed. For some background information that leads up … More Minden, NE to Medford, OR

Today’s Perry County character … More Another Perry County Resident Makes Her Way to Oregon
