I hope our regional friends will visit the other site that I administrate this Saturday, Feb. 20–from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. to meet Missouri artist, Gary Lucy. The Cape Girardeau County History Center, 102 S. High St., Jackson, MO will be featuring a Lucy exhibition and the entire Uptown Jackson High Street will be celebrating the artwork of Lucy with wine tasting and hot beverages as well as special promotions and treats at all of the Uptown High Street boutiques. Why mention this on our Lutheran Heritage Center blog? Because LUCY IS COMING to ALTENBURG! Gary Lucy and his “Inland Waterways” works will be featured at our International Immigration History Conference Oct. 27-29. Lucy will be providing a presentation on Saturday of the conference, and his artwork will be exhibited in our Main Gallery from Oct. 1-Nov. 15. Join us on Saturday to meet Gary and his incredible wife, Sandy. Sandy is the mayor of Washington, Missouri and serves on the Missouri Main Street board of directors. The featured image on this post is Lucy’s “Eating Up the Lights.” Take Care, Carla Jordan
