Join us Sat. April 22 and Sunday April 23 from 10:00 a.m. To 4:00 p.m. for “High Tea with Imy and Her Quilts.” We will be opening the Imogene Unger quilt exhibition with a terrific celebration during Scenic Drive. In the new Perry County quilt themed fiction book series, by Ann Hazelwood, the character of “Imy” the antique boutique owner was inspired by Imogene Unger, who we all call Imy. She has a wonderful “real life” regionally derived quilt collection that we are excited to show you. We will be exhibiting the collection using some unique regional artifacts (you have to come and visit to find out what they are.)
We will be having High Tea both opening days, served in our beautiful Reading Room, and we will have a visit from our beloved quilt series author, Ann Hazelwood on Saturday.
The quilt exhibit and museum admission is free. The High Tea is optional and will have a suggested donation.
And there’s more! All throughout Altenburg (Sat. only) there will be a yard sale, as well as in the Trinity School gymnasium. The Trinity Gym sale will benefit a mission trip to Haiti. So before and after checking out the quilt exhibit, you can find some treasures to take home with you.
