Schimmelpfennig/Mirly Twin Pi’s

We have a tour at the museum this morning, and I am going to be a guest at our local Lutheran school this afternoon, so it’s another day for sharing an old post. And with it being March 14th (3/14), crazy people with Math minds call it Pi Day. Being such a crazy Math mind myself, I am a big fan of Pi Day. In fact, that is one of the reasons I am going to school this afternoon. I am going to discuss both Pi Day and the upcoming eclipse which will be happening here on April 8th. The post I am republishing today is a Pi Day special about a set of twins that were born on March 14, 1875, thus making today their 149th birthday. What makes the story even more amazing is the fact that the girl that was part of this boy/girl set of twins married a man who was also born on Pi Day.

I cannot help but share a video with you that I found online. The man narrating this video chose to calculate Pi using pies. And he made sure that the video was 3:14 minutes long. This guy thinks like me.

Happy Pi Day!
