Museum Musings for Friday, August 9

“Flowing through Time: Wittenberg, Tower Rock & the Mississippi River” by the numbers:

  • 115 – riverboat pictures (approximately, I may have missed a couple)
  • 32 – pictures in the Tower Rock exhibit (plus 4 postcards, 8 books and 1 t-shirt)
  • 24 – riverboat artifacts (just please don’t ask me what they all are!)
  • 20 – pictures of Wittenberg
  • 9 – trunks and travel cases
  • 7 – riverboat models
  • 5 – displays/cases of Wittenberg artifacts
  • 3 – panels in Corp of Engineers’ display on the Flood of ’93
  • 1 – CD “Classic Riverboats Songs” with 12 songs playing on repeat – Gerard and Denise “might” be getting a little tired of listening to these same songs. If you have any suggestions for Mississippi River themed songs to add to the mix, please post them below. Bonus points if you include a link to a free mp3 download!

This is definitely an exhibit you don’t want to miss.

The museum is open daily 10 am – 4 pm. Admission is free. See you soon!
