Trucks and Tractors and Bands, Oh My!

The East Perry Community Fair is in full swing today after the opening parade yesterday afternoon. And what a parade it was! This year’s entries numbered over 150, and the parade lasted over an hour.

We welcomed residents of Independence Health in Perryville who watched the parade under their canopies across the street from the museum so they could use our facilities as the need arose.

I wish I had the foresight they did in having a canopy to sit under as summer made it known that it is not quite over yet; the high yesterday was 92!

We enjoyed the parade with our eldest daughter and her family right outside the museum. With it being so bright, I couldn’t exactly tell what the pictures were going to look like when I was taking them. I hope you enjoy them, such as they are.

Parades sure can be tiring, but I’m sure all of the candy the kids picked up will keep them awake later on!
