I dedicate today’s blog to our friends at Saxon Lutheran Memorial. We grieve with you and stand ready to help in any way we can.
The LCMS Reporter has a fantastic article about the fire, including a video interview with Todd Petzoldt, president of their board. You can read it here.
If you aren’t familiar with Saxon Lutheran Memorial, I encourage you to visit their Facebook Page or website to learn more.
At the museum today, we are busy working on a new exhibit of Ann Hazelwood’s doll quilts. We’ll let you know when it is ready to enjoy!

Such a sad thing to happen. Written History is all well and good but the physical items of History, History of our Beloved Ancestors being lost forever is a very sad thing. People always say that material ‘things’ don’t really matter. I’m not a believer of that. I have things from Grandparents, Great Grandparents, Parents..and I treasure each and every item. To me they are pieces of living Family History. To lose any one of them would be just as devastating as losing a Family member or pet. It’s a horrible thing that happened. It’s so very sad.
