Those stories appeared on this blog because Kit Bond’s ancestors had their roots in and around Perryville, Missouri, and some of their church records are found in the books of Lutheran churches.
I am out of town again this weekend. I will be watching 3 of my grandchildren participate in the Illinois State Lutheran Track Meet. It will be held at the track at Concordia University-Chicago (known as Concordia Teachers College, River Forest back in my college days). I will not have time to write new stories, so I will either republish an old story or not publish at all for the next several days.
