As Warren mentioned yesterday, our conference is now in full swing. We had a great day yesterday with awesome speakers and delicious food. Here are some highlights of the day.

Rev. Hellwege opened the day with a devotion.
He then had the first presentation.
Steve Richardet told us about the conditions during their voyage.
Spoiler alert: they weren’t good!
A deliscious German lunch was served by the ladies of Salem, Farrar
Kathy Berkbigler shared her method of translating German handwriting.
Carl Eisman regaled us with stories of the immigrants time in St. Louis.
Fred Eggers talked about Perry County at the time of the immigration.
The day concluded with Patricia Borgman’s presentation on how the immigrants lived once they got here.

I evidently didn’t take a photo of Ken Craft’s presentation about the trans-migration of the New York Group. I guess I was too busy moving the video camera as he paced from side to side of the screen!
