Rockin’ It Up Bodenschatz Hill

This is going to be a busy week. Presently, I have some old college buddies in town, and we are going to enjoy spending plenty of time together. Later this week, our museum will be hosting its biennial immigration conference. I am doing two presentations at that event and have to do some final tweaks to them. So, my time for researching new stories for this blog is going to be very limited.

The story I am re-publishing today was the first one to be included on this blog for the date, October 21st. Seven years have passed, and the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the building of Trinity Lutheran Church’s 1867 sanctuary is now way back in the rear view mirror. This week, this stone church will be utilized by our conference presenters, followed by yet another Sunday morning worship service. I figure that approximately 8000 Sunday worship services have now taken place in this special building since its construction shortly after the Civil War.
