I will be participating in some museum activities today which will keep me from researching and composing a new post. Instead, I am sharing an old post written on this date back in 2017. It tells the story of an Oswald who married a Kaempfe, two surnames that were once prominent in the village of Frohna.
I am going take a moment to highlight one of the photos displayed in that post. It shows a family photo of the Christian Oswald family taken in front of the house that once was occupied by the August Lueders family. One of August’s sons, Paul Lueders, became a photographer who had his studio in Frohna. I have seen several family photos that were taken in front of this house, which still stands in the middle of Frohna on Main Street.

The highlighted couple in the post I am sharing today, Otto and Anna Oswald, are the man and woman standing in the back row on the far right. Otto is holding his young son, Alfred.
Paul Lueders’s studio was found near the above house, and many photos taken of people from Frohna and its vicinity were taken in that studio. There is at least one other photo is this old post that was likely taken in that studio. Another previously-written post gives more details about Paul Lueders’s photography titled, Paul Lueders – Time Lapse Photography.
I will also point out that there have been quite a few stories told on this blog about other members of the Oswald and Kaempfe families. You can find those posts by putting their surname in the search box found on this website.
