I will be entertaining out of town guests (who are also family) today, so I am once again sharing an old story. The attached post was first written back in 2017. For those of you who know German or who have read posts about people in the Vogel family on this blog, you may already know that vogel is the German word for “bird”. I have written about Vogel’s who moved elsewhere in the country and said they were Vogel (Bird) Migrations, but for the most part, the Vogel’s who arrived in Perry County back in the 1840’s have remained, and there are plenty of Perry County residents around today who can trace their lineage back to the original Vogel’s mentioned in the attached blog post.
