I wrote the attached post 5 years ago. I have some responsibilities today, and I also hope to enjoy some Fair time of my own, so I will only share this old post again today. It documents the gathering of local folks who get to enjoy a little pre-Fair party the night before the Fair. That event happened again last night, and now the featured event begins today. If you’re anywhere near Altenburg today or tomorrow, the East Perry Community Fair is a great way to find some joy. It starts with a parade today at 1:30 pm. Below is a complete schedule for this year’s Fair.
Please be advised that some inflation as taken place since the previous post was published. Prices have gone up somewhat, but I think you will find them still very reasonable. Two prices have not changed…parking and admission fees. It has always been free and continues to be so.
So, now I need to help organize a parade, enjoy some Fair food and beverages, listen to some good music, and enjoy a lot of people-watching. The weather looks perfect.
